<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shell-shaped roller bearing as a measure to prevent coming-off, capable of being easily manufactured and having favorable assemblability. <P>SOLUTION: This shell-shaped roller bearing composed of a cylindrical body of steel plate, and provided with outer rings having projecting portions projected toward a center by caulking process at its both end edge portions, comprises a fine projecting portion for retaining, having the shape of at least one circumferential slit or claws equally arranged on at least one outer peripheral line, and the fine projecting portion for retaining has the taper-shaped outer peripheral portion of which a diameter is gradually reduced toward the outer ring press-fitting direction. The maximum taper-shaped projecting portion of the fine projecting portion on each slit or each outer periphery is gradually reduced toward the outer ring press-fitting direction, when the fine projecting portion for retaining is composed of at least two or more slits or outer peripheries. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
