<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the fine powder of a desiccant may jump out from the ventilation hole of a desiccant container or the mesh of an unwoven fabric, and that the fine powder applies unfavorable effects to precision instruments, and also, raises a sanitary problem in the case of food. <P>SOLUTION: This desiccant container 10 made of a biodegradable plastic which houses a desiccant 13 for absorbing moisture in the air is used. Since the container is made of the biodegradable plastic, the container is friendly to the environment when disposed of. In addition, since the container has air permeability, the desiccant can be enclosed without spoiling the function of the desiccant, and an evil effect by splashing can be prevented. The biodegradable plastic is deteriorated by hydrolysis, however, the deterioration can be delayed by the desiccant.
