PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a recording apparatus for a user, regarding the recording apparatus for recording program data including at least one data among video, sound, or character. SOLUTION: The recording apparatus comprises an acceptance means for accepting a primary recording medium, a recording means for recording the program data in the primary recording medium accepted by the acceptance means, a clocking means for clocking elapsed time after the program data is recorded in the primary recording medium, a detection means for detecting whether or not the primary recording medium remains accepted without being exchanged after the clocked elapsed time becomes predetermined time, and a notification means for notifying the user that the primary recording medium remains accepted when a detection result about the acceptance is obtained.
