PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in cracking resistance and wear resistance, excellent also in sensitivity behavior and capable of maintaining good image characteristics over a prolonged period of time, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has on a substrate a photosensitive layer containing at least a charge generating agent, an electron transport agent and a binder resin, wherein the solubility of the electron transport agent in oleic acid triglyceride is set to a value in a range of 1-30 wt.% and the photosensitive layer contains a phenylamine compound represented by a general formula (1) as an additive, wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>7</SP>are each independently hydrogen atom, halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted 1-12C alkyl group or the like.
