The connector has a contact spring (26) formed of an extension (24) of a front end of a base wall (16) and extending in a direction of an upper wall in an angular manner. A contact spring (30) is connected with the base wall, and extends in a direction of a front part of a housing and in a direction of the upper wall in an angular manner. The front part of the housing is formed in such a manner that it defines the spring (30) which contacts with the front part during insertion of a contact unit of plug type and defines an electrical connection between the contact unit and the connector.
