<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin which gives a film having high optical characteristics without causing retardation upon film formation due to the controlled residual strain. <P>SOLUTION: A molten thermoplastic resin is extruded from the die 22 in a sheet form. The film 12 is formed by nipping the sheet with a pair of rollers 26 and 28 at least one of which is composed of the metal elastic roller 26, cooled and solidified. The thickness Z of the metal cylinder 44 constituting the outer shell of the elastic roller 26 is in the range of 0.05 mm<Z<7.0 mm. The sheet is formed of a layered sheet having not less than two layers using not less than two kinds of the thermoplastic resins A and B. The glass transition temperature Tg(°C) of the thermoplastic resin B constituting the inner layer of the layered sheet is 3-50°C lower than the glass transition temperature Tg(°C) of the thermoplastic resin A constituting the outer layer of the layered sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
