<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage power supply which can quickly rise without being influenced by spurious signal and prevent the drive frequency from exceeding the resonance frequency f0, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: A high voltage power supply comprising a piezoelectric transformer, a means for detecting the output voltage from the piezoelectric transformer, a means arranged to vary the signal frequency for driving the piezoelectric transformer with a control voltage and controlling the output voltage from the piezoelectric transformer, and a means for setting the gain of the control means, based on the control voltage value of the control means; and the detection voltage value of the detection means, is further provided with a gain switching means for controlling the gain of the control means, when the detection voltage value of the detection means is smaller than a predetermined threshold so that it becomes larger than that when the detection voltage value of the detection means is larger than the predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
