PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal processor that can reduce polarization mode dispersion thereby outputting a high definition optical signal. SOLUTION: The optical signal processor in one embodiment of this invention is equipped with: an optical demultiplexer 111 to which input waveguides 101, 102 are connected; two optical waveguides 131, 132 which are connected to the optical demultiplexer 111; an optical multiplexer 121 which is connected to each of the two optical waveguides 131, 132 and which has output waveguides 103, 104 connected thereto; grooves 201, 203 which are formed in the optical demultiplexer 111 and the optical multiplexer 121, respectively; and polarization conversion means 301, 303 which are inserted into the grooves 201, 203, respectively.
