The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for automated processing and routing of data messages or packets, via a cellular network, from analog or digital data devices where said routing is accomplished without the need for call origination on the cellular network. The present invention may consist of (i) a fixed cellular communication device; (ii) a fixed wireless RF communication device; and (iii) a mobile wireless RF transceiver. The fixed communication device provides a means for formatting and transmission of data packets received from data devices directly connected to the fixed communication device or the communication device may receive signals from the wireless RF communication device or mobile wireless RF transceiver.
