BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A back light assembly and an LCD having the same are provided to easily control a white color by sensing a light using a light receiving structure disposed at a center of an optical cluster. An optical cluster(220) includes a plurality of point light sources that emit a light. A light receiving structure(230) is disposed in a light emitting region of the optical cluster to receive lights emitted from the point light sources. A light sensor(240) is disposed at an end portion of the light receiving structure to sense the light received in the light receiving structure. The optical cluster is mounted in a circuit board(210). The circuit board includes an opening for inserting the light receiving structure. The opening is formed in the light emitting region of the optical cluster.
