PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a light image on a liquid crystal monitor of a digital camera at a high frame rate. SOLUTION: A digital camera comprises: an imaging part for picking up an image in a prescribed exposure time and outputting pixel data for each pixel an adder for outputting added pixel data adding pixel data according to each other in a plurality of images picked up time-sequentially with such prescribed weighting that the total becomes greater than 1; and a display control part for sequentially displaying images based on the added pixel data on a monitor. Images based on the added pixel data adding pixel data of a plurality of images are displayed on the monitor, so that an image to be displayed becomes light even when one exposure time is short.
