PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross-linkable aqueous coating composition without using any organic solvent, having a good pot life and forming a coated film excellent in coated film appearance (gloss, clarity, etc.), solvent resistance, waterproof property, weather resistance, soil resistance, the balance of hardness and flexibility (bending property, etc.), etc., in a short time even at a room temperature. SOLUTION: This cross-linkable aqueous coating composition containing (A) an aqueous dispersion of a polyol component having 5 to 200 mgKOH/g hydroxyl value, (B) a polyisocyanate compound and (C) a water-dispersed urethanization reaction catalyst is provided with that the equivalent ratio of [the isocyanate group of the (B) polyisocyanate compound]/[the hydroxy group of the (A) polyol component] is 0.1-5.0, and the (C) urethanization reaction catalyst presents in the (A) aqueous dispersion of the polyol component by the amount of 5 to 50,000 ppm based on the mass of the (A) aqueous dispersion of the polyol component.
