PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel, whose seal is improved in hermiticity by forming an appropriate seal grinding mark. SOLUTION: In a bearing device for a wheel which has seals 8, 9 mounted between an outward member 10 and inward member 1, a base part 13 of a wheel mounting flange 4 and outer diametric surface 3b of an inner ring 3 taken as a seal land portion of the seal 8 on the outer side are subjected to grinding at the same time by a form grindstone. A lead angle of a grinding mark is regulated to be 10 minutes or less. A surface roughness is regulated to be 0.8 Ra or less. By so doing, the shape and size respectively follow the shape of an outer peripheral surface of the formed grindstone to be strictly regulated and to set the lead angle of the grinding mark to zero as close as possible.
