PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal head controller of a universal head unit provided with a receiver. SOLUTION: The universal head controller 100 for remotely controlling the universal head unit 200 provided with an image pickup device 210, a receiver 230 capable of receiving a video signal and/or a sound signal from an external transmitter 250 by radio, and a universal head 220 for mounting the image pickup device and the receiver is provided with a receiving state signal inputting part 170 for receiving a receiving state signal corresponding to a receiving state of the receiver, and a receiving state displaying part 144 for displaying the receiving state of the receiver in accordance with the receiving state signal inputted from the receiving state inputting part.
