PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a catalyst near a cylinder part with the influence on cooling performance of the cylinder part suppressed in the internal combustion engine having a cylinder part including a cooling fin arranged with an axial line thereof kept roughly horizontal. SOLUTION: In the engine 20 having the cylinder part 22 including the cooling fins 61a, 61b arranged with the axis C thereof kept roughly horizontal, the catalyst 28 for exhaust emission control is provided roughly in parallel with the axis C of the cylinder part 22, and is arranged offset to a lower side and outward to the side of the cylinder part 22.
