PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article warehouse capable of developing service activities without giving any damage to a mechanism or an article in the case of a breakdown. SOLUTION: An enclosure 10 of the article warehouse 1 is equipped with an article delivery opening 11 on the front side, and a service hatch 15 on the back side. Article storage frames 21L and 21R and an article transfer mounting frame 23 are arranged in a parallel state. The article transfer mounting frame 23 is located in a position sandwiched between both article storage frames 21L and 21R, and an article pick-up device 24 is included. The article pick-up device 24 stores the article 30 received from the article delivery opening 11 in either article storage section 22 of the article storage frames 21L and 21R. During the period when the transfer of the article 30 has to be carried out between the article storage frame 21L or 21R and the article transfer mounting frame 23, a connecting device 40 can put both frames in a connection state.
