PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an openable lid disengagement preventing device which is set up by mounting an openable lid blocking an opening of a recess formed at an installation surface on the peripheral portion of the recess, and detachably attaching a stopper engageable with the peripheral edge of the openable lid to a bearing frame secured to the installation surface wherein the stopper is engageable with and disengageable from the bearing frame by one-touch operation without using a tool, to thereby improve the operating work efficiency of the openable lid. SOLUTION: The stopper S is connected to the bearing frame M via a rotation connection portion P so as to be rotatable between a retaining position S1 that is engageable with the openable lid T and a releasing position S2 that releases the openable lid T. The rotation connection portion P is formed so as to allow the stopper S to be disengaged from the bearing frame M when the stopper S is at the releasing position S2, but to inhibit the stopper S from being disengaged from the bearing frame M when the stopper S is at the retaining position S1. Further an engaging mechanism E is arranged between the stopper S and the bearing frame M for dis-engageably engaging the stopper S with the bearing frame M in order to hold the stopper S at the retaining position S1.
