PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the constitution of a tension releasing device for releasing the tension of tension members arranged within a structure of concrete or the like to temporarily introduce prestress into the structure. SOLUTION: The tension releasing device 1 is composed of a shim 2 arranged around the tension members 10 anchored to the structure 12 and bearing tension applied to the tension members 10, and a bearing ring 3 for release arranged around the shim 2 and bearing the tension instead of the shim 2.
