摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an cylinder position sensing apparatus of internal combustion engines, capable of accurately sensing the cylinder position, crank angle, etc. of each of the cylinders. SOLUTION: A magnet 12, having an arrangement of magnetic poles symmetric with respect to a center axis O of a camshaft 5, is mounted to a shaft face of the camshaft 5. A magnetic absolute angle detection sensor 13 for detecting magnetism of the magnet 12 is provided for a position opposite to the magnet 12. On the basis of an absolute angle of the rotational position of the camshaft 5, which is the output of the magnetic absolute angle detection sensor 13, a crank angle detection means 14 detects the angle of a crank, and a cylinder position detection means 15 detects each cylinder position of an engine. The magnetic absolute angle detection sensor 13 is, for example, constituted of a magnetic sensor array or the like, where the magnetic sensor elements are arranged in an array form.
