PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make bending work possible without buckling the web by dispersing pressing load which is generated when bending a wide flange shape. SOLUTION: The wide flange shape 1 is bent so that one side of flanges 3a, 3b is taken as the side of the outside diameter and the other side as the side of the inside diameter with pressing rollers 4, 5, 6. By arranging an elongation and contraction support structures 7 between the flanges 3a, 3b of the wide flange shape 1 to be bent and both ends of the support structures 7 are brought into contact with the flanges 3a, 3b. When bending the wide flange shape 1 with the pressing rollers 4, 5, 6, the load to which the web is subjected is taken as not larger than the buckling load by dispersing the pressing load with the pressing rollers 4, 5, 6 through the support structures 7.
