The arrangement (1) has a console (2) mounted on a vehicle with a steering column (7). A lamella (27,27') of the lamellae packets (25,25') has a definite deformation zone (45). The lamella is pivoted towards the longitudinal middle axis in the deformation zone, in the fixed condition of the steering column during excess critical load. The load acts on the steering column (7) in transverse direction to the steering column longitudinal middle axis.
