The system has query parameter which clearly determines and stores position data at temporal and local distances. The vehicle-external toll computer computes a predicted value for query parameter from passed on vehicle position and compares with toll road section of the electronic road network. A predicted value is transferred to position determining unit by a data connection and the unit transfers position data identified by query parameter to toll computer.
