A vehicle seat lock is provided to cause a single operating member to perform two roles such that a hook member is disengaged from a striker. A vehicle seat lock comprises a striker(5) that is secured to a vehicle body and includes first and second engagement portions(51,52), and a seat back(3). A first base plate is secured to the seat back(3). A second base plate is secured to the first base plate to form a space between first and second base members(7,11). A hook member(8) is pivotally secured between the first and second base plates and includes first and second engagement grooves(81,82). An opening lever(9) is pivotally secured between the first and second base members(7,11) to open the hook member(8). A sensing member(10) is pivotally secured between the first and second base members(7,11). A bracket(23) secured to the seat back(3). A bell crank(23) is pivotally secured to the bracket(23). A first connecting rod that connects the bell crank(23) to the sensing member(10). A second connecting rod that connects the bell crank(23) to the opening lever(9). An operating device(6) has a lower portion coupled to the bell crank(23).
