A building method using a barge is provided to elongate a length of a dock using a barge and other ships by using an external wall of a conventional dock and a rivet structure of a barge. In a building method using a barge, a barge with the same length, width, and height as those of a dock is prepared. For the convenient work, a place where the barge contacts the dock has an assembled structure. During the docking between the dock and the barge, an even keel state is maintained. In order to control the floated state, a buoyancy controlling device is installed on the barge. After the docking, the barge is fixed by rivets and rubber packing is checked. After the checking, water is pumped out of the barge and safety is checked. A dock gate and a barge gate are withdrawn by a JIB crane(7) or other crane. The rest blocks of a vessel are loaded to assemble the vessel in a vessel space for the barge secured during the above procedure. After finishing the assembly of the vessel, the barge is separated from the dock and the assembled vessel is launched.
