<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate monitoring independently of circumstances on a platform such as person to person overlapping. <P>SOLUTION: This station platform monitoring system is provided with image pick up devices 1-1 to 1-n being a plurality of infrared image pick up devices for obtaining image information by picking up images, camera moving devices 3-1 to 3-n for moving the image pick up devices 1-1 to 1-n between a pick up position for monitoring a station platform and a retreating position wherein monitoring is not performed, and an image processing device 2 for detecting existence of human being on rails for trains by processing the image information obtained from the image pick up devices 1-1 to 1-n. The camera moving devices 3-1 to 3-n are moved between a position over the rails, on which trains pass through, and a position where the image pick up devices do not hinder the trains passing through. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
