<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device without needing an FPC for connecting a surface light source to a driving circuit, in a liquid crystal display device having a surface light source. <P>SOLUTION: An LED light source 10 is arranged on a liquid crystal display panel 2, and LED wiring 11 for connecting the LED light source 10 to a circuit board 4 is arranged on the liquid crystal display panel 2. Thereby, the need of an FPC for connecting the LED light source 10 to the circuit board 4 can be obviated.
