BREED IDENTIFYING AGENT FOR CHRYSANTHEMUM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING BREED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breed identifying agent for chrysanthemum with high reliability on the identification result to easily identify whether one breed is the same to the other breed or not in mutually and closely resembling two or more breeds of vegetative propagated chrysanthemum and to provide a method for identifying breed.

SOLUTION: The breed identification for chrysanthemum comprises infecting chrysanthemum virus B having RNA which has a specific base sequence, to a breed of chrysanthemum to obtain a breed of chrysanthemum infected with the chrysanthemum virus B and then carrying out vegetative propagation and examining the RNA of the vegetative propagated chrysanthemum.
