PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper especially excellent in print gloss, and further excellent in ink receptivity, ink-setting property and sheet gloss. SOLUTION: This coated paper includes stock paper for coating, a barrier layer formed by coating a barrier layer-coating liquid [(A1) a pigment and (B1) binder are contained, the containing ratio of the (B1) binder is≥30 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass (A1) pigment (provided that as a solid portion), the (B1) binder contains a (L1) copolymer latex and the contained ratio of the (L1) copolymer latex is≥28 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass (A1) pigment (provided that as the solid portion)] on the stock paper for coating, and an ink receiving layer formed on the barrier layer.
