PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher allowing a user to easily recognize a water leak from a hose or a connection part outside a body of the dishwasher. SOLUTION: The dishwasher comprises a washing tub 2 disposed inside a casing 1a for washing dishes 9, the water hose 3 with one end communicating with the washing tub 2 and the other end connected to a piping part 14 outside the body 1, and a hose member 16 which covers the water hose 3 and through which water can flow. One end of the hose member 16 is connected to the casing 1a and the other end on the piping part 14 side is sealed, so that water leaking into the hose member 16 is guided into the casing 1a. If water leaks from the water hose 3 outside the body 1 or from the connection part 14a with the piping part 14, the leaking water is returned into the casing 1a through the hose member 16, and therefore, the water leak is securely detected if a water leak detecting means (not illustrated) for detecting a water leak is disposed inside the body 1. On the other hand, when the water leak detecting means is not disposed, the stored leaking water flows out of the front of the body 1, and therefore, the user can easily recognize the water leak.
