<p>A family having breakfast may use their individual knives for taking butter, jam, and marmalade from the same container to their slice of bread, croissant or scone. The contents of the container will get contaminated over time and loose its appetizing appearance. The new design of a blade cleaning device (1) to be used on such occasion is made of a circular piece of an elastic synthetic material (2) and provided with a multitude of pin-shaped projections (3) on its upper surface.
