PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a droplet mist by separating it from a main droplet; to surely prevent the droplet mist from adhering to a recording medium; and to prevent the recording medium from coming into contact with a nozzle surface. SOLUTION: A partition plate 3, which is almost equal in horizontal length and longitudinal width to the nozzle surface of a droplet ejection recording apparatus 1, is arranged on the nozzle surface 2 via a spacer 4 in parallel with the nozzle surface. A passage hole 8, which allows the passage of the droplet of ink etc. ejected from a nozzle 7, is provided in a position, facing the nozzle 7 of the nozzle surface, on the partition plate. A suction port 10 for sucking in air in a space sandwiched between the nozzle surface and the partition plate is provided on the side surface, which is directed to the carrying-direction downstream side of the recording medium 6, of the droplet ejection recording apparatus, and a suction means 11 for generating an airflow in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the arrangement of the nozzle is mounted. A mist absorber 15 for absorbing the droplet mist generated when the droplet is ejected from the nozzle is mounted on the suction means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
