PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of displaying an amino acid sequence capable of acquiring at a glance the amino acid sequence in a protein. SOLUTION: In the method, the number of an amino acid residue on the amino acid sequence is set on the axis of abscissa, and plotting is performed on a position on the axis of abscissa where the amino acid residue having a prescribed characteristic or a prescribed kind of amino acid residue exists, and thereby a map showing a distribution of the amino acid residue having the prescribed characteristic or the prescribed kind of amino acid residue in the amino acid sequence is formed.
