PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive steam prevention device of a steam trap that can surely prevent misty steam from being generated by reevaporation of condensate. SOLUTION: A plurality of narrow tubes 4 are connected to an outlet 2 of the steam trap 3. Ceramic as a heat radiation material is applied to external surfaces of the narrow tubes 4. A L-shaped elbow pipe 5 is connected to right or downstream-side ends of the narrow tubes 4. The high-temperature condensate discharged from the outlet 2 of the steam trap 3 is cooled while it is distributed to flow down through the narrow tubes 4 because the heat of the condensate is radiated into the atmosphere as far-infrared radiation from the ceramic as the heat radiation material. Accordingly, the temperature of the condensate is reduced when it is discharged from a small-diameter through hole 6 into the atmosphere so that the condensate is prevented from reevaporating to generate the misty steam.
