PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor with a centrifugal separation type oil separator having higher oil separating performance than conventional one. SOLUTION: The compressor comprises a compression mechanism, a housing storing the compression mechanism, a discharge passage formed in the housing for discharging high pressure gas from the compression mechanism to the outside of the housing, and the centrifugal separation type oil separator 19 arranged on the midway of the discharge passage. The oil separator 19 is inserted into the oil separation chamber as part of the discharge passage at an annular gap from the peripheral side wall of the oil separation chamber. It has a separator pipe 18 whose one end is fixed to one end of the oil separation chamber. An irregular surface is formed on the peripheral side wall face of the oil separation chamber.
