PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit for a vehicle free to directly view an optical image projected on a transmission type screen and to restrain the influence of extraneous light. SOLUTION: This display unit 1 for the vehicle is furnished with the transmission type screen 4 and a projector 2 arranged on the back side of the transmission type screen 4 and to project display information as the optical image 2A on the transmission type screen 4, and a visual side front surface 40 of the transmission type screen 4 is formed curved so that the extraneous light reflected on the visual side front surface 40 does not directly enter eyes of driver M. Consequently, it is possible to provide the display unit for the vehicle free to directly view the optical image projected on the transmission type screen and to restrain the influence of the extraneous light.
