<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance optical packet transmission efficiency by performing time difference correction without increasing the guard time. <P>SOLUTION: An optical switch processing section 11b sets the same switch timing at all input ports P1-Pn and performs switch processing of signals inputted from the input ports P1-Pn at the same switch timing. When an optical dummy packet is received, the optical switch processing section 11b performs switch processing of the optical dummy packet before it is replied to a source node. A time difference correcting section 25a performs synchronization detection of the optical dummy packet looped back after switch processing, alters the reading timing until synchronization is established when step out is recognized, and performs time difference correction such that the optical dummy packet falls within the range of switching timing and switch processing is performed normally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
