PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner improving heat exchange performance by appropriately controlling the drift of a refrigerant between respective paths of a flow divider corresponding to a heat exchanger for the air conditioner having a plurality of paths. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprising a compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, a throttle device, and an indoor heat exchanger having the plurality of paths, sequentially connects them by refrigerant piping to constitute a refrigerant circuit, and disposes the flow divider comprising a plurality of paths, between the throttle device and the indoor heat exchanger comprising the plurality of paths. Each of the plurality of paths of the flow divider is provided with a refrigerant flow regulating valve, and a larger quantity of refrigerant is distributed to the predetermined path large in treating capacity and high in the outlet side refrigerant temperature of the indoor heat exchanger in a predetermined operating state. The in-pipe flow velocity of the pathes is increased, and the temperature difference from a suction temperature is enlarged to improve the capacity of the indoor heat exchanger and to improve refrigerating capacity.
