PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous transmission due to update of destination information when FAX transmission is executed using registered destination information. SOLUTION: A FAX server 1 is provided with a synchronized destination information storage 101 to be updated synchronously with the destination information including a FAX number and a registered ID, stored in a destination information storage 511 of a composite machine body 51; and a transmission request relay 14. The relay 14 accepts a FAX transmission request having a destination specified based on the FAX number and the registered ID from a client 3. In this case, if the FAX number and the registered ID of the FAX transmission request coincide with the correspondence relation between the FAX number and the registered ID stored in the storage 101, the relay 14 issues a FAX transmission request to a composite machine 5 while specifying a destination based on the FAX number or the registered ID.
