PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required to defrost utilization side heat exchangers and to reduce power consumption in the defrosting operation of a refrigerating device carrying out a two-stage compression refrigerating cycle to cool the inside of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: A refrigerant circuit 20 is provided with low stage side compressors 101, 102, 121, 122, high stage side compressors 41, 42, 43, an outdoor heat exchanger 44 and the utilization side heat exchangers 83, 93. In the defrosting operation of the refrigerating device 10, the high stage side compressors 41, 42, 43 are operated. A discharge refrigerant of the high stage side compressors 41, 42, 43 are led into the utilization side heat exchangers 83, 93 to heat frost from the inside. The refrigerant is then evaporated in the outdoor heat exchanger 44, compressed by the high stage side compressors 41, 42, 43 and fed again to the utilization side heat exchangers 83, 93.
