<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent protrusion and cut-off of sheet metal and to prevent damage of a sheet metal part by completely covering a folded portion of the sheet metal part with a folded portion of a rivet by a shape featured part of a tubular rivet part. <P>SOLUTION: Folded areas 58, 58' of a flange 15 are completely received in a recessed part/mounting part 56 by a bolt element 10'. The element 10' comprises a nose 26 and a recessed part 28 for preventing rotation, and a longitudinal rib 70 on an outer face of the rivet part, and the ribs 70 axially extend, and are disposed at angular pitches same as recessed parts 28 around a central shaft 24 of the element. A featured part having the shape of rib 70 is sunk in the flange area 15 of the sheet metal part 14 during deformation, and the sheet metal part is co-moved with the rivet part 20 without sliding, when the rivet part 20 is folded, thus the folded sheet metal part 58' of the flange area 15 is included and the desired deformation can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
