PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire the electronic program guide (EPG) information of a plurality of channels immediately after starting a broadcast receiver in order to display that information immediately. SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 1b is a receiver requiring time for acquiring EPG information of all channels just like a vehicle mounted receiver. A digital broadcast receiver 1a can receive such EPG information quickly and the EPG information thus acquired is stored as an identifiable file. When a removable recording medium is loaded to the digital broadcast receiver 1a, the stored EPG information is copied to that removable recording medium 2. When that removable recording medium 2 is removed from the digital broadcast receiver 1a and loaded to a digital broadcast receiver b at other place, the EPG information is read in from the removable recording medium 2 at the same time to start the digital broadcast receiver 1b and can be used therein.
