PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of making the prolongation of a photoreceptor compatible with the prevention of void of an image by the removal of a discharge product by continuously removing the discharge product over a long period of time, without wearing the surface of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus in which an electrifying device and an exposure device which form an electrostatic latent image on an image carrying surface 11a, a developing device which develops the electrostatic latent image by toner, to form a toner image on the image carrying surface 11a, and a transfer roll which transfers the toner image to a transfer medium are arranged in the circumference of a photoreceptor drum 11, in the rotational direction A of the photoreceptor drum 11, in this order, a discharge product removing means 16 is provided between the transfer roll and an electrifying means. The discharge product removing means 16 is provided with a brush member 16-4 which scrapes an adhesive material mass 16-3, to supply it to the image carrying surface 11a as an adhesive powder G and further, a cleaning blade 16-2 which removes the adhesive powder G from the image carrying surface 11a in the rotational direction A in the supply section of the adhesive powder G.
