PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer and its security control method for preventing illegal writing in a flash memory even when a keyword is not used. SOLUTION: In a microcomputer 10, when a reading inhibit mode is not set in a flash memory 1 by a CPU 2, the error correction code of input data generated by an ECC generation part 3 is stored in an ECC storage part 5 as a reference error correction code, and when a reading inhibit mode is set by the CPU 2, and a data write request is made to the flash memory 1, the error correction code of the data is generated by the ECC generation part 3, and collated with a reference error correction code stored in the ECC storage part 5 by an ECC collation part 6, and when mismatching is detected in the both error correction codes, the write of the data to the flash memory 1 is inhibited by a write control part 7.
