PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punch press machine which can carry out nibbling work at a hit rate of about 2,000 hpm to a metal sheet having a thickness of 1.2 to 3.0 mm, and further to provide a high speed nibbling method using the same punch press machine. SOLUTION: The punch press machine has a hitting means 17 for ordinary work below a vertically movable ram 11 to press a selected die, wherein a die hitting means 41 for high speed nibbling work, which can vertically move following the vertical movement of the ram, is provided below the ram so as to advance and recede.
