PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice washer of which the space of the vertical direction is effectively utilized. SOLUTION: In the rice washer, a rice washing device 2 to wash rice and to discharge the rice after washing to a vessel 10 is fitted to a supporting member 3. Also a transferring mechanism 5 to transfer the rice washing device 2 in the vertical direction from the rice discharge position against the supporting member 3 is installed.
