<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle having the consistent traveling property higher than that of a conventional vehicle which uses the posture control by an inverted pendulum even in a traveling state in which the stable posture is hardly maintained such as in an abrupt acceleration or deceleration. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle, if a traveling state determination means determines that the traveling state of a one's own vehicle detected by a traveling state detection means is a predetermined state, an arm is turned and a rotor is brought into contact with a road surface by a rotor control means. The rotor brought into contact with a traveling surface is rotated by the friction generated through the contact with the road surface as a vehicle is moved (a wheel is rotated), and functions as an auxiliary wheel. As a result, the moving range of a center of gravity of a mounting part required for obtaining the consistent traveling property can be expanded between a center of the wheel and a center of the auxiliary wheel, and the consistent traveling property not obtained only by the posture control by the inverted pendulum can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
