<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform heating/regeneration of an adsorbent in an adsorption column and cooling of the regenerated adsorbent in a short period of time and to improve the unevenness of a temperature distribution of the adsorbent in the adsorption column when the adsorbent is heated/regenerated. <P>SOLUTION: A sheathed heater 32 for directly heating the adsorbent 31 is arranged in an inner cylinder 21. An outer cylinder 22 is arranged on the outer circumference of the inner cylinder 21 while leaving a gap (d) between them. Upper air holes 22a communicated with the gap (d) are formed in the upper part of the outer circumference of the outer cylinder 22 and lower air holes 22b communicated with the gap (d) are formed in the lower part of the outer circumference thereof. When the adsorbent is heated/regenerated, a rising current of air is produced in the gap (d) and the heat in the lower part of the inner cylinder 21 is transferred to the upper part thereof, so that the temperature distribution in the inner cylinder 21 can be made uniform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
