<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent capable of being stably carried and indwelt at a desired position of the lumen section of a tubular organ, and a method of manufacturing the stent. <P>SOLUTION: The stent 1 is used by being inserted and indwelt in the lumen section of the tubular organ of a living body, is provided with a mesh structure and is in a cylindrical shape as a whole, wherein a plurality of fine projections 11A1 are provided on the area of the inner surface at least at one end part in the axial direction.
