USER INTERFACE DEVICE, ITEM SETTING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface device with excellent operability by which settings can be carried out for input information in a natural manner.

SOLUTION: An analysis part 11 analyzes input information into document components. A display generation part 12 generates expected finish display information based on the analysis by the analysis part 11. An item selection part 13 selects processable items based on the analysis result. An operation display part 14 displays the expected display information, displays the processable items selected by the item selection part 13, and accepts the specification of an item from the candidate items to be processed which have been displayed. A region generation part 15 displays on the operation display part 14 candidate regions for the processing by the item of which specification has been accepted. The operation display part 14 accepts the input of selecting a region from the displayed candidate regions. A setting part 16 makes settings for the item which has been specified, and accepts the specification of the region to be processed from the candidate regions.
