<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil which can be reduced in size and has an excellent attachability of a spark plug and a superior sealing property. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil 1 comprises a primary coil 21 and a secondary coil 22 which are wound concentrically, and a plug attachment 3 arranged on one side D1 in the axis direction of the primary coil and the secondary coils 21 and 22. In the plug attachment 3, a cylindrical sealing member 4A for sealing a terminal 52 formed at the end of an insulator 51 of the spark plug 5 is arranged inside a plug insertion port 31 into which the insulator 51 of the spark plug 5 is to be inserted. On the inner surface of the sealing member 4A, there are a plurality of sealing projections 42 to be brought into contact with the insulator 51.
